The musical focus of the choir is on singing a cappella music from different time periods and genres.

Diversity

The diversity of the choir community is reflected in the selection of our music. We strive to have entertaining and varied concerts: we perform renaissance, classical, romantic and contemporary choral works.

Openness

We embrace music from other cultural spheres, world music in its broadest sense. For example we enthusiastically wrestle with Hungarian polyrhythm, sing in multiple languages and experiment with new accoustic possibilities.

A couple of jazz and pop choir arrangements also make their way into the programme.

Performance

Irrespective of what we’re singing, most important to us is to bring to life the atmosphere of a piece, because music is much more than simply hitting the right notes.

During our concerts we try to stage the musical items in different sound formations and spatial arrangements. We sing behind, in front, and around the audience, we incorporate small choreographies, and sometimes some of us sing a solo or perform as a quartet.

Every programme also includes a song that we sing and perform together with the audience, thereby establishing a special connection between the choir and the audience.

The result is a multifaceted programme that inspires, energises and appeals to both us and our audience.
